The last thing I needed,
Was for you to press a kiss upon my neck,
How dare you caress my heart?
Go on, place the noose, and break my leg-
Pull, pull on harder, don’t be afraid,
I fear no death,
I cling fearlessly and humbly to the pain.
When you plan to leave me at any second moment,
The dove flies when the cage is freed-
Where was your loyalty, bumbling fool?
Your vision was low but then it ceased,
You act so icy now, but once you were just a thorn,
Cutting my skin, pricking at my senses,
I killed the rose, but the fragrance still wafts around the room,
And where angels sang at the union our lily brought,
There is only maggot, musk and the moon.
