I want to eat the lilt in your tongue,
Curl my fingernails round your ringlets till they snag
And I can’t get them out.
Feel not your pulse but your sinews
Snap as I envelop
Every bone I love, down to the pelvis
And beyond. Where every damn thing
Matters.
