There are rumours of recitals. And if that begins,
his voice suddenly all emotion, I cannot protect my little ones.
Nations have been as one in their condemnation.
A spokeswoman said, This is the heinous misuse of bounty.
They subjugate the population with unsought kindness.
Where now the habitual disregard and contempt?
Even as she spoke vans entered city centres
intent on distributing doughnuts,
dogs were let loose in comedic costumes
and confetti indiscriminately released over schools,
drifting towards children at play.
