PERSEPHONE

By Dael Mac

The sight of her filled the inner decay, the cavity of his soul

he wanted to consume, possess

break her open and feast on her beauty down to the marrow

she saw the lingering thunder on the horizon of his mind

the undeniable insatiable hunger in his loins

oh Hades my capture, beloved hatred

until death developed chemistry outside duality

he uncovered something within her deep and primal

buried ancient instincts

and she could not resist the inevitable abyss

the dichotomy of this lovers twisted knot

she found herself woven into the fabric of his black embrace

death's touch will stain and permeate

my love even the fairest flower

a place where life and death embrace

for one could not exist without the other
