I used to think I was good at goodbye.
Now I’ve realised,
I’ve perfected ‘see you later’
‘I’ll visit you soon’
‘Keep in touch’
‘Let me know when you’re in town’.
Now I’ve realised,
I’m not good at goodbye.
Not good at having more questions than answers.
Not good at the unknown.
At someone walking away without telling me why,
without telling me where,
or who
was the better option.
Now I’ve realised,
I can’t handle goodbye,
because it means you chose to have more questions,
and chose the unknown,
and chose anything else,
but me.
-I hate goodbyes
