The lines of prophecy written in riddles
In glistening entrails spilt in the starlight?
The flickering whispers of mystical insight
Glimpsed in the glint at the edge of a knife
And the blood and the brine at the turn of the tide…
Have you heard the song of the spheres?
The glorious sound of the planets aligning,
The chiming and grinding or orbits combining?
The whining of flutes and the dutiful chanting,
Imparting their beautiful truths to the worthy,
The knowledge and wisdom which transcend the earthly…
Have you felt the drag of the depths?
The infectious effect as they seep through your dreams
Leaving traces of places no mortal has seen?
Ancient civilisations condemned to the deep
In the desolate darkness of ruinous reefs
Built by ageless creators who speak in their sleep…
