an easy start


booze fun finals


i became we overnight


it lasted too long


you knew better


all night


inhale inject intrude

never silent


my cells were yours

squatting uninvited


screaming fighting exhaustion


it was

an uneasy

ending


the trust in your eyes taunted by a glint of my determination


in a serrated edge

to cut out the we


laying swaddled in a white sheet faint smile of relief

just
