CAPTAIN OF HER HEART

Negotiating silver seas,
To rob, destroy and plunder,
A ship of black and crimson red,
Called the Deadly Thunder.
She would strike such terror,
Into hearts of men,
And was captained by a fearsome soul,
Ruthless Johnny Wren.
Then one evening,
As the Deadly Thunder powdered home,
Wren saw sparkles,
In amongst the salty, champagne foam.
But the looming pirate ship,
Had a great surprise,
Instead of zircon diamonds,
Was a pair of bright green eyes.
Johnny Wren was speechless,
At her yellow hair,
And a flash of mermaid tail,
Rising through the air.
He belonged to her now,
It was meant to be,
Throwing off his tricorn hat,
He dived into the sea.
She no longer was alone,
Her handsome Captain Wren,
Sacrificed his ship,
Abandoned all his men.
Love can make you crazy,
Defenceless, mindless too,
Take that as a warning,
Wren?
You utter bloody fool!
The End.
