BURN AND BRUISE

Hearing your voice
instantly sends me into a daze.
Your chaos fuels my
attraction causing
you to fall into my bed.
February’s fraught with tension
and July’s ruby mood.
Harrowing scenes are your forte.
Yet, I keep returning to you.
Skilled in shattering hearts.
Torture my soul and tear it
apart. Oh, how you would
do anything for art. Your
creations based on the
long of lovers fractured
from the moment you depart.
Many men have fallen but
I remain to listen to your call.
My body is your canvas
and I your tragic muse.
What colours will you use?
Hellish reds or more sorrowful
blacks and blues.
How I burn and bruise for
you.
