AUTONOMOUS BEING

By The Girl Who Cannot Breathe

Amble forwards,

Relenting soul,

Unto hell, heaven or further,

Speak with me,

My silent subconscious -

Torments me,

I ask it what’s wrong,

An echo into an abyss,

I stand before myself,

The God of my own world,

Of my inner world,

An incorporeal hand moves,

Draw my essence forth,

Marrs it with apathy,

Leaving only air to hold me afloat,

Within my rebellious lungs,

Inflating to spite me,

I force the air away,

But my body denies suffocation,

And forces me to live on.
