Do you see conquered nature?
Ash concrete blocks,
tarmac suffocating the soil,
grass and trees in city locked plots.
Yet these structures were designed by her dynasty’s success,
crafted by her prodigies,
an ecosystem of necessity, like death and change, ever present in her history.
Are we still her children? Is this still her land? We seek non-human places to hear her, but she speaks through our very hands.
