March to the beat
Of an ordained king.
Ringing and singing
With apostles bringing
Hostile clinging
To immutable laws
Claiming soul authority.
Chasms and spasms
Between sects: a phantasm
Of enthusiasm for
Derision
Superstition
And mythical permission
To divide a people against themselves.
